Overall Market Uptrend, Bitcoin Hits $7,600 Targets $8k

NewsThe cryptocurrency market is showing an overall upward trend on April 26. Six of the top 10 cryptocurrencies by market cap surged, and four are lighting red indicating a fall. Bitcoin (BTC) aims to touch the $8,000 mark.
The Bitcoin halving is underway
At press time (02:36 Sunday, 26 April 2020 (GMT-4) Time in New York, NY, USA), Bitcoin is displaying green and is trading at around $7,609, up 0.36% from the previous day, with a market capitalization (MC) of over $139.607 billion and volume (24h) of more than $32.158 bln.
The globe’s leading altcoin is having the biggest market share of 63.7 percent. BTC traders and hodlers are waiting for the forthcoming halving (scheduled for May 2020) to take advantage of the anticipated BTC’s price-gain.
Ether targets to hit and surpass $200
Ethereum (ETH) is pounding as it goes ahead to make a significant positive trajectory, as Coinidol reports. The world’s second altcoin Ethereum is trading in green at about $195.43, up 0.68%, with a MC of over $21.63 bln and volume of more than $17.49 billion. About 24 hours, ETH rallied and has managed to sustain overhead the $190 resistance.
Ripple tries to sustain upwards of $0.195 resistance
Ripple (XRP), a potential threat to Ethereum, is changing hands in the red at almost $0.19529, down -0.27 percent, with a MC of $8.61B and volume of $1.6B. Earlier on the cryptocurrency market, Ripple rallied to hit a high of $0.20, but the bears dropped back to just above $0.19500.
Looking at the top 100 cryptocurrency price trends, the top 62 digital currencies are on the upswing and 38 are moving on the declining price slope. The entire MC of this digital currency market is currently more than $219.186 billion.
Stablecoin Tether (USDT), which has been sparingly snowballing its MC recently, has a market share of approx. 3.10%. USDT/USD is changing hands at around $1.01 (0.33 percent).
Tether has the highest volume (24h) than any other altcoin – it’s volume is sitting at over $43.69 billion, according to the data from coinmarketcap.
Top and worst performers
In the top 5 rankings, DigiByte (DGB) rose 18.97% to be the No. 1 in the rate of increase, and the price is at $0.015143, Energi (NRG, 15.75%), Kyber Network (KNC, 14.17%), Enjin Coin (ENJ, 13.55%), and Ravencoin (RVN, 12.43 percent) respectively.
The worst performer is Quant (QNT, -3.87%), Synthetix Network Token (SNX, -3.37 percent) and Nexo (NEXO, -2.47 percent).
