Coinbase Pro announces listing of Avalanche’s AVAX token
The largest crypto exchange in the United States, Coinbase Pro has announced the launching of the popular DeFi network Avalanche on its platform.
According to the blogpost, trading will begin on or after 04:00 PM UTC, Thursday, September 30 and the trading pairs offered are AVAX-USD, AVAX-USDT, and AVAX-EUR.
In addition, Coinbase Pro has clarified that it is compatible with C-chain Avalanche addresses, and sending AVAX on P-chain or X-chain to a Coinbase Pro wallet will result in permanent loss.
Avalanche is a Layer 1 smart contracts platform that features high processing speed and multi-chain support. AVAX is its native token and can be used for gas payments and staking. The network’s recent token sale raised $230 million in a round led by Three Arrows Capital and Polychain.
