Kraken app becomes compatible with Google Pay, Apple Pay
Cryptocurrencies exchange Kraken announced on Wednesday that it has added support for Apple Pay and Google Pay in the Kraken App.
The official announcement noted that the Kraken app has an option to automatically connect with Apple Pay and Google Pay accounts. Users can now access more than 50 cryptocurrencies handled by the exchange by integrating them with a digital wallet.
Previously customers had to copy and paste details of their account from their internet banking app. However, this move can make the app more user-friendly and ideal.
In a conversation with Coindesk, Kraken Managing Director for Australia, Jonathon Miller remarked:
“The integration of payment methods like Apple Pay and Google Pay is key to making our platform more accessible to everyone. This simplifies the purchasing process and brings the payment methods that people are used to using in their everyday life to the crypto experience.”
Earlier this year, Kraken doubled the number of trading pairs by allowing users to trade in pound sterling and Australian dollars as part of its expansion scheme. In addition to trading services, the company also offers a full range of staking services for tokens such as Flow (FLOW), Kusama (KSM), and Ada (ADA).
The minimum amount of purchase required is $10 and the maximum purchase limit is $7,500 for using the digital wallets.
