SBI VC Trade to start handling Chainlink
SBI VC Trade, which manages the cryptocurrency trading service business for SBI Holdings, has started handling chainlink (LINK) in its platform.
SBI VC Trade has now become the first exchange in Japan to offer trading services for Chainlink.
On the same day, SBI VC started trading LINK on “VCTRADE” at the sales office and “VCTRADE Pro” at the exchange. The exchange currently handles seven types of crypto assets at sales offices and exchanges and has recently included Polkadot (DOT) to its list as well.
Chainlink is a decentralized oracle service that connects on-chain smart contracts with off-chain data, and LINK is a token used in the chainlink network. The network currently has a market capitalization of $7.3 billion as of July. Its native token ‘LINK’ is an ERC677 token, an extension of ERC20.
The usage of DeFi services has sharply increased recently, according to data provided by Chainalysis. Since then, there has been a rise in usage of Chainlink, contributing heavily to its price surge. At the time of writing, LINK was trading at $31.19 with a 24-hour up of 2.52%.
