US Coinbase lists 2 new tokens
Coinbase Pro, the largest cryptocurrencies exchange in the United States, announced a new listing of two stocks on the 16th. This is the third time in Sept. the company has listed new cryptocurrencies on its platform.
The new tokens are Braintrust (BTRST) and Horizen (ZEN). Trading for BTRST has already started whereas trading for ZEN is scheduled to start on Sept. 16 (4:00 pm UTC).
The trading pairs are available as follows: BTRST-USD, BTRST-USDT, BTRST-EUR, BTRST-GBP, BTRST-BTC; ZEN-USD, ZEN-BTC, ZEN-USDT.
BTRST is an Ethereum-based token. It acts as a governance token for Braintrust, which is a decentralized talent network that connects freelancers with organizations.
ZEN is the native token for Horizon, a blockchain ecosystem that equips privacy-focused decentralized applications. Horizon has both the main blockchain and a side chain that allows developers to build custom private or public blockchains and Dapps.
In addition, US Coin Base announced on the 16th that it has submitted an application to the National Futures Association (NFA) to register as a “commodity trader” in order to offer derivatives trading.
The National Futures Association is a self-regulatory body in the US futures industry and is designated by the CFTC (Commodity Futures Trading Commission) to register futures contractors.
In a Tweet posted on the 16th, the company said:
“This is the next step to broaden our offerings and offer futures and derivatives trading on our platforms.”
