Nomura, Crypto Garage to collaborate on crypto custody solutions
Japanese digital asset service provider Nomura Holdings has announced its partnership with Crypto Garage, a subsidiary of Digital Garage, and Komainu Holdings, a crypto custody provider to offer digital asset custody solutions to Japanese institutional customers.
Crypto Garage, which develops financial services utilizing blockchain, also announced that it has made a third-party allotment of capital to Nomura Holdings and its parent company Digital Garage.
Henson Orser, Komainu’s President and Acting CEO, commented:
“The evolution of digital assets is changing the financial ecosystem and Komainu is building out custody solutions as well as additional services to provide institutions with the support they need throughout the entire custody process.”
While major financial institutions, mainly in Europe, North America, and Singapore, have long started services dealing with crypto assets, Crypto Garage and Nomura HD have now created an environment where institutional investors in Japan can easily enter into the crypto market.
