Shiba Inu grows in popularity, holders rise by 30K
Dogecoin rival ‘Shiba Inu’ is growing popular after an anonymous whale bought 6.3 trillion coins, setting off a buying spree and taking the memecoin’s price to its nearly ATH of $0.00003503. The price has since toned down with current levels at $0.00002799.
According to data presented by financial news website Finbold, the meme token’s newfound popularity has led its holders to grow by 30,000 in just a span of two weeks.
As of September 21, 2021, the Shiba Inu token had over 668,810 holders which have now increased to 699,971 holders, indicating a rise of 31,161 new holders.
Also, the report included data from blockchain analysis firm Sentiment which suggested a hike in the frequency of SHIB transactions worth over $1 million.
