Visa to hire director to develop and lead crypto exchange, NFT solutions
US payments giant Visa posted a job opening on Wednesday, which sought to hire a “Director, Visa Crypto Ecosystem Readiness Lead” to develop and execute strategies for its Crypto-related clients like Crypto exchanges, wallets, and NFT.
“As Director, Visa Crypto Ecosystem Readiness Lead you will be part of the Global Crypto Solutions team responsible for creating and growing new revenue streams for Visa through emerging crypto products, innovative partnerships, and tailored programs,” Visa wrote in the job description.
The awaited recruit will work closely with Visa’s regional teams to widen the expansion of Visa cards so that merchants and customers can easily convert fiat to cryptocurrencies. The director will also be in charge of running a joint marketing campaign to expand Visa services in cross-border payments.
As per its eligibility criteria, Visa stated that it is looking for someone familiar with the crypto industry and has highly analytical and excellent problem-solving skills.
Visa and rival Mastercard have been actively integrating cryptocurrencies into their solutions and offering a wide range of initiatives and products related to the industry. In March, Visa announced plans to support payments in stablecoin USDC.
In August, the company bought a popular NFT ‘CryptoPunk’, worth over 50 ETH at the time, and in October, Visa unveiled plans to build an interoperability network between CBDCs, Stablecoins.
