FTX to offer bank account integration for Japanese partners
Popular crypto derivatives exchange FTX revealed on January 19 that it plans to offer new trading services to Japanese users in collaboration with some of the Japan-based partners.
On the other hand, the exchange did not reveal many details, including whether or not it is considering a business expansion in Japan. As of now, FTX does not onboard users from Ontario or Japan or non-professional investors from Hong Kong.
The exchange said:
“As part of our continuing mission to provide better services, we are working to provide you with new and improved trading services, including bank account integration, with our Japanese partners this year and in compliance with Japanese laws and regulations.”
“We will be providing additional information with our plans in the near future as soon as the details are confirmed,” FTX added, indicating that the exchange might restart its services in Japan.
In September 2021, FTX took measures to restrict the new registration of Japanese residents amid tighter scrutiny from Japanese authorities.
