KDDI Participates in Oasys Validator to Partner in Game and Entertainment Fields
KDDI Joins Oasys Validator
KDDI Corporation announced on the 28th that it will participate as a validator for the domestic game-specific blockchain “Oasys”. Through Oasys’ validator operation, KDDI will seek wider cooperation in the game and entertainment field.
Shunpei Tatebayashi, General Manager of the BI Promotion Department of KDDI Corporation’s Business Creation Division, said in this announcement, “Oasys Blockchain is a Japanese company that has a track record in the game and entertainment fields in Japan and overseas. I am pleased to be able to participate as a validator as a member who supports such blockchain infrastructure.”
On the 7th of this month, KDDI launched “αU”, which provides Web3 era services such as Metaverse, live distribution, and wallet, and revealed that it will make a full-scale entry into the Web3 area. The company will be the second domestic mobile phone carrier after Softbank, which recently announced that it will participate in the network as one of Oasys’ second group validators.
