With Bitcoin NFTs gaining popularity, NFT marketplace Magic Eden has launched a Bitcoin NFT marketplace.
“On the Bitcoin blockchain, all media uploaded on the chain cannot be altered or deleted.” It’s been embraced,” Magic Eden co-founder and CEO Jack Lu said in a press release.
Upon launching the marketplace, Magic Eden will partner with the popular Bitcoin NFT collection to encourage user adoption.
Co-founder Zhuoxun Yin said the company is rushing to announce its first batch of NFTs as it wants to attract more users to trade NFTs on the Bitcoin network. told to
“With so many high-value items being engraved and created on the Bitcoin blockchain, it is very exciting to be involved in the rapidly growing NFT ecosystem,” Yin said.
“At Magic Eden, we just do a lot of cross-chain work, and we felt like this was a really cool ecosystem for us to work on.”
Magic Eden has historically led the Solana-based NFT marketplace, but has recently expanded into multiple blockchain ecosystems. In August it added support for the Ethereum blockchain, and in November it added support for Polygon, a popular layer-2 blockchain.
